So what is a Noggin & Natter? A Noggin & Natter evening is a monthly get together where members meet at a local watering hole and generally have a very social evening. The conversation does not all focus on cars and hence the evenings are welcoming for both male and female members of the club. It is a chance to get together and discuss any upcoming events that we may all be attending, to organise new events, for any technical issues with your car to be discussed and possible solutions to be suggested and to generally put the world to rights in a friendly and informal atmosphere. It is also a brilliant way for new members to meet other members of the club in an informal atmosphere and to make new friends. Weather (and technical issues) permitting the cars come out to play too, which gives a chance to see the cars up close and to discuss and examine any technical queries. It also means that during the quieter winter months the cars usually get a run out at least once a month. The Noggin & Natters are held at various locations around the region and so there should be one within striking distance of all our regions members. Never been to a Noggin & Natter before, always thought that they would be a bit stuffy and be a group of men all talking technical car talk all evening? Then come along to your local Noggin & Natter and prepare to be welcomed in to a friendly gathering and leave at the end of the evening pleasantly surprised and having made new friends. If you feel that your area is not sufficiently catered for then why not start your own Noggin & Natter. All you need to do is locate a friendly pub with an area that you can gather in and preferably plenty of safe off road parking for the cars. Then most importantly let the Mutterings Editor and the Webmaster know the details of when, where and who to contact for more information so that they can advertise your meeting to your fellow members and get another successful Noggin & Natter group started. Don’t be afraid to write an article for Mutterings too, to let your fellow local members know about your new Noggin & Natter. You are also welcome to contact any of the committee members for further advice if required. |
